The family - that dear octopus from whose tentacles we never quite escape, nor, in
your inmost hearts, ever quite wish to. ~Dodie Smith
Hi there!
Let me welcome you to browse through this family tree site.
There are many families tied up in our story and you will find yours
somewhere! You can search under names and look around. To make it easier if it is
your first time click on the links below to take you directly to the oldest Ancestor
known in family lines and view their descendants.
Can I ask any family members or interested parties to please remember this site
is my family tree. If I don't have your children's children and your Aunts and Uncles listed
to please be respectful that this is my research. Don't take offence if I haven't listed every one
of your relatives; they may not be related to me! I am only too happy to update names for those
genuinely interested in helping. I have spent considerable time & money in this research and it
costs me to keep this site going. I would be delighted for those interested to share and visit my
site but please respect that it is for my family. Unfortunately some are happy to come here and
find fault and be offended if their "Aunt Mary" isn't listed here and when I update the site they
are never to be heard from again. Thanks

ACHILLES Augustine-1815

DAVIS Richard-1775
JETSON John Brewster-1816
The Jetson side of the family's research was undertaken by Neville & Edna Jetson when
the undertaking of this search was a lot more arduous than it is today with web pages
and online sites and many people to ask and guide. As such I have not done much work
on that side but decided to look at my own roots.
The Davis and May families before moving to Australia both heralded from the Cornwall & Devon areas in England. Before that the lines zig zag from Ireland, Scotland and Germany. Reading between the lines of the family history you can see some had tough lives and you can piece together a picture of the times.
In an exciting development one leg of my tree has just opened up and dated back to
the year 408! Originating in Denmark & Sweden it holds Kings, Queens, Princes and
more. Dotted over Europe it makes fascinating reading even if you cannot pronounce
half the names! Ahhhhh we knew there must be Aristocracy somewhere didn't we? :-)
I would love any contributions, be they photos, details, information or even hunches. Research is a complex job and any little tidbit can prove useful in finding more or confirming exisiting details.
If you drop by please dont forget to sign the guestbook and say HI :-)
